About Dr. Horace Jerome Traylor
Dr. Horace Jerome Traylor was the President of Chattanooga City College (The only black College in Tennessee at a time when schools were segregated) and in 1969 was key in instrumenting the merger of Chattanooga City College with the University of Chattanooga to form the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) as part of the UT System.[1]
